Referrals & Rebates
You are welcome to make an appointment with or without a referral, and I see individuals both with and without a clinical diagnosis. Short- and long-term treatment options are available depending on your needs. I aim to make therapy accessible by offering sessions in person, via video or phone. Fees may be reduced for longer-term work, for students, and for those experiencing financial hardship.
The Medicare Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative supports individuals to access psychological treatment. If you have a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP or psychiatrist, you will be eligible for a Medicare rebate of $128.40 for up to 20 sessions per calendar year. To learn more about this plan, please consult your GP or psychiatrist.
If you are experiencing an eating disorder, you may be eligible for an Eating Disorder Treatment Plan from your GP or psychiatrist. This plan will allow you to receive up to 40 Medicare rebated psychology sessions per year. To learn more about this plan, please consult your GP or psychiatrist.
Individuals who self-refer do not need to obtain a referral from their GP and will need to pay in full. Some Private Health Funds also cover psychology visits and you may be entitled to a rebate depending on your provider and level of cover.
